Learn to Play The Ukulele (Adults)

Adults 18 and over are invited to learn how to play the ukulele from local music teacher Jeff Van Devender in an eight-part series at the library. No experience is necessary, but space is limited to twelve and registration is required. All graduates of the class will get to keep their ukuleles! Free! This monthly book club will focus on local authors and titles of local historical significance. Books can be obtained at the Grand Valley Historical Society and the Garfield County Libraries. Each month we’ll get together to talk about current challenges and opportunities within the homeschooling space. We’ll also discuss how the library can help provide educational opportunities and curriculum for homeschool kids in elementary, middle, and high school.

Spring Crafternoons

Back by popular demand! Adults are invited to get creative within the context of a guided craft series. Each workshop is taught by a knowledgeable library staff member or community member, and all materials and supplies are provided at no cost. Seed Starting Workshop with Growing Empowerment

Join Kim Doyle Wille from Growing Empowerment to learn about starting and transplanting seeds. Participants will help sort and plant seeds, and will be able to take home their own seeds.
