Practice reading in a fun, supportive environment with a four-legged friend! Therapy dogs from Heeling Partners of the Roaring Fork Valley will be at the library to listen, encourage, and enhance each young reader’s experience. There will be 15-minute time slots for readers (1st-5th grade), and advance registration is required. For the well being of the dogs, only the readers will be allowed in the room with the dogs and specialists. Call the library at 970-963-2889 or sign up at the front desk!
Adults who wish to explore, observe, and creatively document nature are invited to join a group of novice and experienced sketch book writers and artists. Some sessions will have an instructor (Romana Davies) who will explore different topics, techniques, and mediums. If the instructor is not available at a meeting we will have an assignment, encouragement and tips from peers, and drawing time in a supportive environment. Bring your own supplies.
